In the past decade, social enterprises have been growing rapidly in this region to address many challenging social and environmental issues. Social enterprises need to develop innovative solutions that can create a long-term impact on our society and environment. This year, UnLtd Indonesia is organizing this workshop with an aim to educate entrepreneurs on the use of “Lean Canvas” in the social sector. This workshop would also encourage the participants to apply for the DBS-NUS Social Venture Challenge Asia. This is an ideal opportunity to interact with peers and experts and get feedback on your idea/venture and help with the application process. The Challenge also provides multi-dimensional support for budding social entrepreneurs and builds capacity through public education in social entrepreneurship. Participants will be supported and mentored by some of the most experienced practitioners in this field. Furthermore, participants who qualify will have the opportunity to travel to Singapore for mentoring & coaching with experts, before facing the final round of judging. The Challenge will culminate with a prestigious awards ceremony. Launched by DBS Foundation and NUS Enterprise, the DBS-NUS Social Venture Challenge Asia aims to identify and support innovative new ideas and existing social ventures that have the potential to generate positive, scalable and sustainable social impact. The challenge is open to students and professionals with budding innovative ideas, and early-stage social entrepreneurs whose business has been in operation for up to 5 years.
