While Jakarta remains a tech talent hotspot due to its proximity to start-ups and customers, Bandung and Yogyakarta are important hinterlands with a strong pool of tech talents. As access to local ecosystem and talents are critical for internationalisation, IMDA works with NUS Enterprise and BLOCK71 to create linkages to inmarket talent and partners through the local tech and media ecosystem networks in Jakarta, Bandung and Yogyakarta. The LaunchPad programme will form part of the Global Innovation Alliance network in Jakarta which connects Singapore companies to innovation hubs and talent. Specific to assisting ICM companies, BLOCK71 will serve as an in-market partner for companies to access local partners, demand opportunities and talent, through industry-specific Tech Showcase Days and Market Validation Programmes.
