Kopi Chat Deep Dive is a series of talks for the start-up community brewed once every three months in order to give a deep understanding and provide specific perspectives on a current topic around the tech world. In this Deep Dive Series, we will be discussing the changing role of education technology in the face of COVID-19.
Most governments around the world have temporarily closed educational institutions in an attempt to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic. There is a national effort to leverage on technology and implement remote/home-based learning. As a result, many classes are becoming ‘virtual’ and there is an accelerated innovation happening in the Edtech space.
The objective of this event is to provide the participants with the knowledge of:
Edtech history, trends and insights in Southeast Asia.
The use of educational technologies during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
What works, and what doesn't, when it comes to 'virtual schooling' or home-based learning.
Challenges and opportunities for educators/content providers.
