IPLAN Food Design Innovation Challenge is back again for the second year. The challenge is conducted through the collaboration of GAIN (Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition), Ministry of Health, Ministry of Marine and Fisheries of Indonesia, Postharvest Network for Nutrition indonesia and Supported by Sub-national Government. This challenge is also supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, JP2GI and AP5I. Organized by Innovation Factory, IPLAN Food Design Innovation Challenge is looking for startups, SMEs and institutions who offer solutions to help combat Anemia and Stunting in the vulnerable populations specifically pregnant mothers, breastfeeding mothers and young children through fish and seafood based products in Indonesia. The challenge is looking for innovation in Food Design that can contribute in reducing stunting and Anemia for Indonesia’s vulnerable population. The selection criteria (1) Nutritious, Edible and Tasty (2) Locally sourced fish and seafood products may include but not limited to freshwater fish, saltwater fish, shellfish, and seaweed (3) Affordable (4) Packaging and (5) Can be mass produced. Closing on the 26th November 2019, 10 selected applicants will receive cash prizes with a total value of 100 million Rupiah and the opportunity to pitch their solution at the final pitching day on the 13th December 2019.  5 winners of the pitching day will each receive 75 Million Rupiah, access to an exclusive mentoring opportunity by Temasek Polytechnic Singapore to further develop and distribute their product in Indonesia and also grant prize with total value of 1 Billion Rupiah.
